Sometime in middle school I decided I was a carpenter. I began by building progressively less terrible furniture. Eventually I branched out to scenic carpentry and set design. That combined with my math and physics skills led me to studying Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics at Penn. I still build sets, but now I love doing mechanical and industrial design especially for consumer products and robots.
