My first set design was for Front Row Theatre Company’s The Lion in Winter. Directed by Alex Polyak Produced by Graham Stanton and Maddy Levasseur.
Although The Lion in Winter is set in the middle ages, we decided to focus on the timelessness of political intrigue and family by setting the show in a 1940’s castle/apartment. The high windows and non-contiguous walls bring an art deco finish to forms reminiscent of turrets and parapets.
