Machined Trout

 

A trout sculpture machined on a Haas 3-axis Mini-mill. This was for project CANDY for IPD-501. The sculpture is intended as “desk candy”. The trout was modeled using SolidWorks 2014 surface modeling and rendered using Keyshot. The CAM was done with SolidCAM 2013. This project took about 20 hours to model, 4 hours to CAM, 10 hours to machine both the wax and Aluminum, and 8 hours of sanding and polishing.
